I’ve been fishing since childhood, starting with tiddler snatching on canals before progressing into specimen carp angling. My early years were spent on club waters, park lakes, and syndicates, developing my craft on gravel and sand pits. These days, I prefer the quieter, more focused environment of syndicate waters, though I still enjoy the occasional social or session on a commercial venue with friends.

Raised in the era of Carpworld and proper carp etiquette, I’ve always valued respect for fellow anglers and the waters we fish. My current UK PB stands at 43lb 6oz.

Thanks to my father, I’ve been fishing in Europe since the age of 12—starting with a trip to the Dordogne in 1994. Since then, I’ve returned to France almost every year, fishing everything from intimate estate lakes to vast inland seas, and landing a French PB of 65lb. I’ve also ventured into Germany, first visiting in 1997.

Whether it’s a low double or a European giant, the thrill of carp fishing remains the same. That love for the outdoors and the water has been with me since day one—and it’s not going anywhere.
